Pelican Beach has police that act on what they see. They respond to reports, chase, search and arrest, and they only know what they have actually seen. Players can join the force and rise through the ranks.
If you are a citizen
- Call 911 from your phone to report a crime. A case is opened, and a patrol car comes from the station and the officers get out.
- Speed cameras and cases keep track of what happens in the city, and the police keep a wanted list.
- If you are stopped: do as the officers say. Put your hands up next to them to surrender.
A chase
- The police only know what they have seen. Break the line of sight, and they will have to search for you.
- A tased suspect is an arrested suspect, so do not run into a taser.
- Every chase needs a story: play it like it is real.
After an arrest
- A suspect is fined or sent to jail. The time and the fine depend on what happened.
- Your record stays on the wanted list until it is cleared.
If you want to be an officer
- Apply in the Discord. New officers start in the lower ranks and learn the work from the inside.
- Officers respond to calls, run traffic stops, arrest suspects and write the cases.
Police chief
- We are looking for a police chief. Apply in the Discord with a short text about yourself and your experience.
- The chief leads the department, can hire and promote officers and sets the standard for the whole force.
- More ranks and tools come as the department grows.
Outside the law
- On the island there are no police. Everything you carry there is at your own risk.
